Email signups
When a grown-up chooses to leave an email address in a signup form, we use it only to send news about The Last Black Squirrel and Maggie Fallon’s books. Emails are sent through Mailchimp, and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link. We may note which page you signed up from, so we know which pages are working.
Site analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal information. It records things like the page visited, the website or ad that sent you, and your general country.
Advertising
On some pages we use the Meta Pixel to measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform and to show our ads to people who have visited this site. The pixel uses cookies and sends Meta information such as the page you visited and whether you signed up. You can control this in your Facebook ad settings, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.
Children
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Our signup forms and ads are meant for parents, grandparents, teachers and other adults. If you believe a child has signed up, reply to any of our emails and we will delete the address.
